Come on down to the Open House on Fireman's Day at LFD!

Every year LFD holds an Open House the first weekend in May, better known as Fireman's Day.  This event is geared toward children, however activities hold interest for young and old alike.  Events for the day include a variety of displays and activities.  Past events have included rides for children in a firetruck, a bicycle safety fair, and viewing a simulation of an extracation, using the Jaws of Life. 

The Fire Safety Trailer from the Oregon State Fire Marshal's Office is onsite with demonstrations for kids about what to do in the event of a fire, information about smoke alarms and sprinkler systems, and fire escape plans.  

Plan to join us this year.  Bring the kids down, grab a hot dog, and take a look around.
